Financial Literacy Education

LorMet Community Credit Union is dedicated to facilitating financial literacy by partnering with local school districts to educate students on essential money management skills. Through interactive presentations and activities, LorMet empowers young learners to make informed financial decisions for a successful future.

Lorain City Schools

For years, LorMet has proudly visited the Lorain City School District to teach financial literacy in classrooms. We deeply appreciate the ongoing engagement and dedication from both students and educators, and we look forward to continuing this valuable program each school year.

Amherst Steele High School

LorMet is always glad to visit Amherst’s Marion L. Steele High School and the surrounding grades, teaching financial literacy to engaged students.

Clearview City Schools

Clearview City Schools have consistently welcomed the LorMet team to present financial literacy. It has always been a joy to work together. We value the opportunity to motivate young minds and inform them on planning for success.

Walter G. Nord Middle School

Over the years, LorMet has worked with middle school grades and above at Amherst Exempted Village Schools. From school supply drives, Design-an-Ad activities, and financial literacy presentations, we love supporting all ages in our local schools.

Chamber Leadership Academy

LorMet has sponsored Chamber Leadership Academy, a student program from Effective Leadership Academy, to promote financial literacy education. Young Creators Design-an-Ad

Empowering students at Walter G. Nord Middle School to design newspaper advertisements for LorMet for over 5 years

Since 2015, LorMet has advocated for young minds at Walter G. Nord Middle School in Amherst by hosting the Design-an-Ad campaign activity. This project allows students to showcase their artistic talents in newspaper advertisements for LorMet while learning about financial literacy and the importance of a dedicated institution. We value our classroom visits and the opportunity to inspire the next generation with more hands-on experiences.
