Chamber Leadership Academy
LorMet has sponsored Chamber Leadership Academy, a student program from Effective Leadership Academy, to promote financial literacy education. We proudly host students from over ten Lorain County school districts at our Main Amherst Branch, emphasizing financial readiness and important leadership qualities.

Back-To-School Drives
Each year, LorMet gathers essential school supplies for local students, thanks to the generous donations of our members. Together, we help equip students for a successful school year and support their educational journey.
Young Creators Design-an-Ad
Since 2015, LorMet has advocated for young minds at Walter G. Nord Middle School in Amherst by hosting the Design-an-Ad campaign activity. This project allows students to showcase their artistic talents in newspaper advertisements for LorMet while learning about financial literacy and the importance of a dedicated institution. We value our classroom visits and the opportunity to inspire the next generation with more hands-on experiences.

Supporting Effective Leadership Academy
Since 2022, LorMet has been engaged with Effective Leadership Academy (ELA), facilitating presentations in our conference center and as a sponsor. We are privileged to promote essential leadership and workforce readiness skills by hosting students from more than ten Lorain County school districts.

On October 4th, LorMet Community Federal Credit Union contributed $20,000 to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts for Hurricane Helene. The donation assisted communities in the Southeast devastated by severe flooding, providing essential aid such as shelter, clean water, food, and care to those in need.

Lorain Lions Club
LorMet was honored to sponsor the Lorain Lions Club Pancake Breakfast on November 3, 2024. This annual event provided a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a meal, and support the Lions Club’s charitable initiatives. Proceeds from the breakfast directly benefit local programs focused on vision care, youth services, and community improvement projects.

Proudly Engaged in the Amherst Community
LorMet was excited to participate as a vendor at Main Street Amherst’s Walking on Wednesday events throughout the summer of 2024. This vibrant community gathering invited residents and visitors to explore Downtown Amherst while enjoying local vendors, live entertainment, and family-friendly activities. As a vendor, we loved engaging with attendees through fun golf games, sharing valuable financial resources, and showcasing our strong commitment to supporting and representing the local community.

Supporting Women’s Health on National Wear Red Day
In recognition of the leading cause of death among women, our team at LorMet is dedicated to raising awareness about cardiovascular disease. This important day serves as a reminder to prioritize heart health, encourage prevention, and support those affected. By coming together, we can make a difference in the fight against heart disease and help protect the ones we love.
